Beaumont Veterans Day parade, yesterday, had uncommon November weather warmed by Santa Ana wind headed to the ocean from its desert origin. Wide spacing of entries, mostly made up of political folks, caused analog clocks to over spin; fifty minutes of elapsed time should have been thirty. A motorcycle riding veteran spotted my Army shirt and stopped to award me a tightly-woven-thread white star trimmed from a retired United States Flag. The Civic Center post-parade ceremony was muted by inadequate electronics, crowd noise, and a brisk breeze. Good job Beaumont Parks Department.
