Power Naps

 Power napping is super beneficial to one’s well being.  I employed a relaxation technique that enabled almost instantaneous slumber during my working years.  Our business kept open-hours that seemed barbaric to the uninformed.  All employees, except our clerical person, were expected to be on-the-job no later than 5:00 a.m. each workday.  As the business owner and Patron my starting hour was NLT 4:30 a.m.  That meant that I was up and on the road at 3:45 a.m. each day, and I was usually the last person to depart the business at the end of the day.   


At about 10:00 a.m. each morning I would quietly withdraw to my upstairs retreat where my sofa and blankets lay in wait.  I donned my Bose Quiet Comfort headphones and pressed play on my attached computer.  My pre-recorded relaxation patter played into my tired brain and instantly rendered rejuvenating sleep.  At 30 minutes of elapsed time a simple recorded trigger aroused me from sleep ready to attack the rest of the day
