That was Thanksgiving, again. My passage-of-time odometer is still spinning and it seems at an ever increasing rate. Thanksgiving is a significant point in time inasmuch as it marks the point at which another full year has passed since the moment I was born. And while my legal age is now 79 I have really been on this planet, alive, for 80 years, and counting. That’s difficult for me to consider.
Now all of our Thanksgiving/Fall decor has been boxed and stowed while Christmas splendor adorns our humble abode. That decoration transition consumes more time each year; three days were required this year. Culling of useless and broken items has filled our garbage bin beyond capacity. I’m hoping for extra space available in the neighbor’s brown bin(s).
Alexa just announced that the current clear-sunny weather will continue for the next seven days. That’s a subtle announcement that the drought will continue and worsen. We may be in more trouble that most folks realize. I expect that we will soon see water features shut down and dry up as the community awakens to the calamity that is at-hand.
