A person who chooses to participate with digital devices cannot ever pretend that he has arrived at a moment of stasis regardless of his satisfaction with any instant state of affairs. Alas, Windows 11, yo’leven, has been involuntarily imposed upon my aging portal to the sticky web. I have resisted allowing Microsoft to modify and “update” the operating system that underlies my machine’s ability to function. It’s too bad that all of my publicly purchased software knows how to perform within Windows 10 parameters, and now that stuff has been rendered inert. Those programs simply don’t work with Windows 11. My question is whether or not I should invest in replacement software for those functionless clumps of code that now only occupy space on my solid state hard drive.
